Who: This exhibition features works by Sherry Czekus, Kim Harrison, Marcy Saddy, Andrew Lewis, Brent Schreiber, Bonnie Parkinson, VC Glennie, Angela Hardy, Jeremy Bruneel, Geoff Farnsworth, Daisy Fresh, Paul Lambert, and Joanna Mozdzen.
When: September 29 to October 24. Opening Reception on Saturday, October 3, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

What They’re Saying: “When I was 25, I backpacked around Europe for a year. I found myself standing in front of Picasso’s Grande baigneuse (Large Bather) and was mesmerized. What a fabulous way to portray the human figure. I then searched out as many examples of figurative work as possible,” says Westland Gallery’s owner, Al Stewart.
“The Village People is our annual figurative show. We have done a figurative show for years because everyone sees something different, even though they are all looking at the same subject. Some people create formal portraits, others have abstracted the form to make it almost indistinguishable, others have looked at the human form from above and others create figures using wood, clay, bronze or stone.
Just like the Village People, there are all makes and models of the human figure. Come see us just south of the YMCA.”
